Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), also known by several other names, is a chemical used for both industrial and medical purposes EDTA solution will be standardize by titration against a standard solution made from calcium carbonate, CaCO3.


The EDTA solution can then be used to determine the hardness of an unknown water sample
