50 test pack
Syphilis test is intended used for qualitative detection of antibodies IgM IgG IgA of Treponema pallidum also known as TP in human serum or plasma as in aid of Syphilis diagnosis. It is for in-vitro diagnostic use only.
The test is based upon immuno-chromatographic principle. Recombinant proteins of TP have been used in the test formulation to make it highly sensitive and specific. Serum / plasma can be used for testing. No buffer & no dilution of sample is required for performing the test.
Syphilis test has shelf life of 24 months from date of manufacturing if stored at 2-30°C under sealed condition. Each kit contains 50 pcs of individually sealed pouches containing test strip. Test can be performed by drop the serum / plasma and result can be interpreted within 5-10 minutes.
This professional syphilis screening kit is designed to detect antibodies associated with Treponema pallidum in the specimen types specified for the product.
For laboratory and clinical users, one of the most important interpretation principles is:
Reactive treponemal antibody screening ≠ Automatically a new or currently active syphilis infection
Treponemal antibodies may remain detectable for many years and can remain Reactive even after appropriate treatment.
Therefore, a Reactive result should be interpreted together with:
Previous syphilis testing history
Previous treatment history
Clinical findings
Exposure history
Appropriate nontreponemal testing such as RPR or VDRL where indicated
The applicable diagnostic testing algorithm
Syphilis Rapid Test Kit Complete Guide
Understand how treponemal antibody rapid tests work, what Reactive and Non-Reactive results mean and why a screening result should be interpreted within the complete syphilis testing pathway.
Syphilis Rapid Test vs RPR vs VDRL: What Is the Difference?
Learn the important difference between treponemal antibody tests and nontreponemal RPR/VDRL tests, including how quantitative nontreponemal titres can support assessment and treatment follow-up.
Syphilis Screening During Pregnancy & Antenatal Care
Syphilis testing is an important component of antenatal care. Appropriate maternal testing, interpretation and timely treatment are important for reducing the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes and congenital syphilis.
Rapid Diagnostic Tests for Gynecology & Antenatal Clinics: Pregnancy, HIV, HBsAg, HCV & Syphilis
This professional resource connects pregnancy testing with HIV, HBsAg, HCV and syphilis screening and explains how these tests fit into antenatal clinic, laboratory and referral workflows.
Rapid Test Do’s & Don’ts: HIV, HBsAg, HCV & Syphilis Sample Handling, Storage & Common Errors
Review essential practices covering specimen handling, expiry checks, storage, manufacturer-specific procedures, timing, controls, documentation and common rapid-test errors.
Professional-use note: Syphilis diagnosis should not rely on a single serological result in isolation. Follow the current manufacturer Instructions for Use, laboratory SOPs and the applicable syphilis testing algorithm. RPR and VDRL titres should not be used interchangeably for longitudinal follow-up.
